🔹 Role Purpose
Support the Finance Manager in maintaining accurate financial records, strong internal controls, statutory compliance, and timely financial reporting to ensure the financial health of Smollan Tanzania.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
Financial Systems & Internal Controls
•Administer and monitor financial systems to ensure accuracy and timeliness
•Implement and enforce financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
•Manage financial risk controls to safeguard company assets
•Maintain relationships with auditors, banks, and statutory bodies
Transactions & Accounting Operations
•Ensure all payments are properly authorized before processing
•Process salaries, wages, and employee reimbursements accurately and on time
•Prepare and issue correct sales invoices and analyze mark‑ups and margins
•Manage accounts receivable and payable, including reconciliations
•Perform regular bank and payment reconciliations
•Verify supporting documents for accuracy and authenticity
Statutory Compliance
•Ensure timely processing and filing of statutory obligations, including:
•PAYE
•NSSF
•NHIF
•VAT
•Withholding Tax
•Corporate Tax
•Ensure compliance with local financial reporting and tax regulations
Financial Reporting
•Prepare accurate and timely monthly and periodic management accounts
•Maintain balance sheet schedules and general ledger reconciliations
•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and periodic treasury plans
Cash Flow, Working Capital & Budget Control
•Manage and control cash flows and working capital
•Monitor budgets and support financial planning activities
•Maintain an orderly accounting filing and documentation system
