IT Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a highly competent and spiritually grounded IT Manager who will take full ownership of all IT operations and lead the design, implementation, and management of systems across all WAPO Mission subsidiaries.

This role combines technical leadership, system implementation, and ministry service.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Leadership & Infrastructure

• Lead and manage all IT functions across the organization

• Maintain IT infrastructure including networks, servers, and hardware

• Ensure systems are reliable, scalable, and secure

2. Systems Implementation Across Subsidiaries

• Design and implement integrated IT systems for:

  • Church operations

  • Media platforms (Radio, TV, Newspaper)

  • Schools and Colleges

• Ensure all departments are connected through centralized and efficient systems

• Lead digital transformation initiatives across the ministry

3. Media & Broadcasting Technology

• Oversee IT systems supporting:

  • Radio broadcasting

  • Online TV

  • Live streaming services

  • Digital publishing (Sunday Newspaper)

• Ensure uninterrupted services during broadcasts and church programs

4. Digital Platforms & Communication

• Manage websites, email systems, and communication tools

• Support online ministry and digital evangelism strategies

5. Security & Data Management

• Implement cybersecurity measures and data protection policies

• Establish backup systems and disaster recovery plans

6. Technical Support & Training

• Provide IT support to pastors, staff, and media teams

• Train users on systems and best practices

• Supervise IT staff, interns, or volunteers

7. Strategy & Innovation

• Advise leadership on IT strategy and digital growth

• Introduce innovative solutions to enhance ministry impact

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT management or related role

• Bachelor’s Degree in:

  • Information Technology

  • Computer Science

  • Or Business Administration with Postgraduate Diploma in IT

• Strong experience in:

  • Systems implementation and integration

  • Network and infrastructure management

  • Media and broadcasting technologies

• Experience working with multi-branch organizations is an added advantage

• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills

Spiritual & Personal Requirements

• Must be a born-again Christian with strong moral values

• Demonstrates integrity, humility, and a heart for ministry

• Willing to work on weekends, Sundays, and during church events

• Ability to serve in a faith-based environment with commitment

Contract & Probation Terms

• 1-month probation period

• Upon successful completion, a 1-year contract will be issued

• Continuous performance evaluation

Salary & Benefits

• Starting Salary: Minimum TSh 1,000,000 per month

• Salary review after 2 months, based on performance and delivery
