VisionFund Tanzania Microfinance Bank (VFT-MFB), within the World Vision network, is recruiting Relationship Officers to support client acquisition, credit assessment, loan processing, repayment management and customer service.
The role involves serving microfinance clients, assessing creditworthiness, maintaining loan portfolios and supporting responsible lending and financial inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
1. Client Recruitment & Orientation (30%)
- Market VFT-MFB loan products and services in designated areas.
- Recruit and screen prospective borrowers against eligibility criteria.
- Explain credit policies, loan terms and procedures to clients.
- Conduct business visits, cash-flow analysis and credit investigations.
- Assess client creditworthiness and verify loan guarantees.
- Open and maintain complete client records and loan files.
2. Loan Application Processing (15%)
- Guide clients through loan application requirements and forms.
- Verify required documentation, photographs and collateral.
- Facilitate required cash security savings deposits.
- Prepare loan assessment, checklists and recommendations.
- Submit applications to the Branch Credit Committee.
3. Loan Repayment Management (15%)
- Monitor repayment schedules and portfolio performance.
- Follow up promptly on overdue and delinquent loans.
- Apply relevant repayment procedures and policies.
4. Business Growth & Marketing (10%)
- Promote microfinance products within the branch target market.
- Contribute to achievement of monthly business targets.
- Represent the institution professionally in the community.
5. Customer Service (10%)
- Maintain positive and professional client relationships.
- Review approved loan documents and security records.
- Address customer concerns and communicate service issues to branch management.
6. Workplace Values & Teamwork (10%)
- Promote a safe, respectful and supportive workplace.
- Uphold VFT-MFB's core values and professional conduct standards.
- Participate in team activities and organisational initiatives.
7. Reporting & Information Flow (10%)
- Submit daily and weekly reports to branch or business centre management.
- Communicate operational issues and business developments.
- Escalate unethical conduct and support audit recommendations.
